📸 How to Photograph Your Car’s Damage for an Accurate Quote

🚘 Photograph a clean car where possible
🌤 Use natural daylight – avoid flash glare
📱 Use your phone camera in landscape mode
✅ Upload at least 2–3 photos per shot
🧭 If the roof is damaged, make sure to include the A/B/C/D pillars in your shots

 

🔧 1. Full Panel Shot

📷 Step back and take a clear photo showing the entire panel where the damage is – even if the damage is small.

✅ Good: Full door/fender/bumper visible
❌ Avoid: Zoomed-in close-ups only

 

📐 2. Angled Shot

📷 Capture the damaged area at a 45° angle to help us see depth, dents, or distortion.

❌ Avoid dark or flat-on photos

 

💥 3. Close-Up of the Damage

📷 Zoom in to show scratches, scuffs, or cracks in detail – especially if paint is affected.

✅ Sharp close-up, well-lit
❌ Avoid blurry or shadowed images

 

🌍 4. Wide Context Shot

📷 Show the damage in context – include all surrounding or adjacent panels so we can judge the size and location of the damage, and assess whether any paint blending may be required.
If the roof is the damaged area, please also include the A/B/C/D pillars in your shots.

✅ Capture where it is on the car (e.g., rear bumper near boot)
❌ Don’t crop too tightly

 

🚗 5. Entire Vehicle Shot (with Damage in View)

📷 Stand far enough back to get the whole car in the frame, while still showing the damaged area.

✅ Full car visible, damage clearly shown
❌ Avoid photos where the car is partly cut off
